Job summary

Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, headquartered in Los Angeles, seeks an IT Software Developer III to design, develop, deploy, and support enterprise business applications leveraging Microsoft Access, VBA, and the Power Platform. The role emphasizes modernizing legacy systems, building AI-enabled solutions, and integrating with .NET technologies.

Candidates should have four years of related experience with Access/.NET and Power Platform, or a Master’s with two years.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and four years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with two years of relevant experience.
Experience with enterprise business application development and support with proficiency in Microsoft Access, Microsoft .NET framework, C#, Power Platform, and relational database programming.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, deploy, maintain, and support business applications using Microsoft Access and Visual Basic applications.
Develop and support web applications using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).
Modernize and convert legacy Access apps to modern web apps using Power Platform, Foundry or Copilot, and .NET.
Design, develop, and publish reports using Power BI and data solutions for business needs.
Design, develop, and publish workflows to support business operations.
Develop and maintain relational database components (views, stored procedures, functions, etc.).
