Qualifications

  • Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily IT operations across multiple sites within the country.
  • Ensure availability, performance, and reliability of local IT infrastructure and services.
  • Lead end-user support for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Serve as escalation point for major incidents.
  • Implement monitoring, reporting, and continuous improvement of IT services.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, standards, and security requirements.
  • Partner with site leadership to address tech-enabled business needs.
  • Develop and coach the local IT operations team.
  • Collaborate with regional/global IT teams on initiatives.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders to align IT with operations.

Job description

A global manufacturing organization is seeking an IT Site Leader to oversee IT infrastructure operations and end-user support across multiple sites within an assigned country. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of local IT services while partnering with regional and global technology teams to support business operations.

The successful candidate will lead local IT operations, manage critical infrastructure, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure alignment with corporate IT standards and security requirements.

Key Responsibilities
IT Operations & Infrastructure Management
  • Lead daily IT operations across multiple sites within the assigned country.
  • Ensure the availability, performance, and reliability of local IT infrastructure and services.
  • Lead end-user support activities, including hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
  • Serve as an escalation point for critical IT incidents and operational issues.
  • Implement and maintain processes for monitoring, reporting, and continuous improvement of IT services.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate IT policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Partner with site leadership to identify and address technology-related business needs.
  • Lead and develop the local IT operations team, providing coaching, guidance, and professional development.
  • Collaborate with regional and global IT teams to implement technology initiatives and operational improvements.
  • Build strong relationships with business stakeholders to align IT services with operational priorities.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Security & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with IT security policies and standards.
  • Support security assessments, audits, and risk mitigation activities.
  • Implement measures to safeguard local IT assets, systems, and data.
Performance Management
  • Monitor and report on IT operational metrics and service delivery KPIs.
  • Provide regular updates to regional and global IT leadership regarding service performance, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Drive achievement of established service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Manage local IT operating budgets and ensure cost-effective utilization of resources.
  • Oversee procurement and inventory management of IT hardware and equipment.
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors, service providers, telecommunications partners, and hardware suppliers.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
  • 3–5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations management.
  • 1–3+ years of leadership, supervisory, or team management experience within an IT environment.
  • Experience supporting multi-site operations is highly preferred.
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, hardware, software, and end-user support.
  • Experience with IT service management frameworks such as ITIL.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues.
  • Experience monitoring service performance and managing operational KPIs.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and IT compliance requirements.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Customer-focused with a strong service orientation.
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within multicultural and geographically dispersed teams.
