Job summary

Turner Staffing Group is seeking an on-site, project-based IT Service Desk Technician in the Elko, NV area to support a large-scale technology initiative. The role involves configuration, installation, imaging, and ongoing support of PCs and desktop software across active industrial operations.

It is a 12-month project with hands-on end-user interaction. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of PC technician experience, strong hardware/imaging skills, and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of PC technician experience in a business or enterprise environment.
• Strong knowledge of desktop hardware, imaging, and troubleshooting.
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Must be located within 8 hours of Elko, NV; U.S. work authorization without visa sponsorship.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred).
• Microsoft MCSA or MCSE certifications; CompTIA A+ certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Configure, install, and image desktop and laptop computers.
• Perform daily maintenance tasks, including remediating broken or malfunctioning client devices.
• Install, configure, and support desktop software systems.
• Provide onsite technical support to end users.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed.
• Perform additional IT support duties as assigned.

Turner Staffing Group is seeking an on-site, project-based IT Service Desk Technician to support a large-scale technology initiative for one of our mining industry clients in the Elko, Nevada area. This is an on-site, project-based assignment expected to last approximately 12 months, supporting end-user computing environments across active industrial operations.

This role is ideal for hands-on IT professionals who enjoy hardware deployment, desktop support, and working directly with end users in a fast-paced operational environment.

Position Summary

The IT Service Desk Technician will be responsible for the configuration, installation, imaging, and support of personal computers and desktop software systems. The role focuses on daily maintenance activities, device remediation, and ensuring reliable end-user computing performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, install, and image desktop and laptop computers
• Perform daily maintenance tasks, including remediating broken or malfunctioning client devices
• Install, configure, and support desktop software systems
• Provide onsite technical support to end users
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed
• Perform additional IT support duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of PC Technician experience in a business or enterprise networking environment
• Strong working knowledge of desktop hardware, imaging, and troubleshooting
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Must be located within 8 hours of Elko, NV
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
