Job summary

CompTech Computer Technologies is seeking an IT Service Desk Specialist – Level I to provide first-line technical support for the Defense Health Agency (DHA) in Corpus Christi, TX. This on-site role focuses on diagnosing and resolving common hardware and software issues and documenting incidents in the ticketing system.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in IT support, strong customer service skills, and the ability to communicate clearly with users of varying technical proficiency.

Qualifications

• Two years of progressive IT support experience.
• Experience using a ticketing/ITSM system to log and track requests.
• Ability to follow established procedures and document incidents.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to obtain/maintain Active Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for technical assistance.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, resolve issues per procedures.
• Provide Tier I support for workstations, apps, hardware, and user-access issues.
• Document incidents and service requests in the ticketing system.
• Escalate unresolved incidents to appropriate Tier II support.
• Communicate status and next steps to customers during resolution.
• Adhere to security policies and organizational standards.
