Job summary

CompTech Computer Technologies in Corpus Christi, TX, is seeking an IT Service Desk Specialist – Level I to provide first‑line support for DHA end users, handling common hardware and software issues with a customer‑focused approach. You will log incidents in the ticketing system, document steps taken, and escalate when necessary, while adhering to security policies and DHA requirements.

Qualifications

• Two years of IT technical support, help desk, or related experience.
• Experience troubleshooting client-level hardware and software issues.
• Experience using a ticketing/ITSM system to log and manage requests.
• Ability to follow documented procedures and escalation paths.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for technical issues (hardware/software).
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues per procedures and service desk processes.
• Provide Tier I support for common workstation, application, and access issues.
• Create, update, and track incidents in the ticketing system.
• Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate teams and communicate status to customers.
