Bernalillo County Information Technology is seeking an IT Senior Manager to lead the Infrastructure Group in person at 415 Silver Ave SW, Albuquerque. The role provides strategic planning, budgeting oversight, and direction for major IT functions and projects affecting county residents and businesses.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, 10+ years in IT and 4 years in management, with a strong track record in project leadership and cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Ten (10) years of work experience in Information Technology within a complex information systems environment, variety of hardware systems and software applications, or networking engineering.
• Four (4) years in a managerial role.

Responsibilities

• Develops strategic plans, objectives, and priorities for the assigned section and operational areas.
• Plans, develops, and implements programs that use human and financial resources to achieve results.
• Manages budgeting and oversees expenditure, cost/benefit analyses, and vendor interactions.
• Supervises staff and ensures resources align with goals and organizational objectives.
• Oversees procurement of services and goods and vendor selection processes.
• Directs project management to deliver IT products and services within scope, time, and budget.
