Job summary

NC Dept of Health and Human Services (DHHS) seeks a Senior Automation Test Lead to build and scale automation testing for the Managed Care Transition Project. Location: 1915 Health Services Way, NC. Lead test strategy, design, and execution across functional, integration, and regression testing for healthcare applications.

You will collaborate with end-users, ensure UAT is thorough, and mentor the QA team. Proficiency in HP ALM, JIRA, and SQL is preferred; knowledge of HIPAA X12 EDI is a plus.

Qualifications

• Assess testability of requirements and create test cases from BRD and SDD (≤140 chars).
• Execute functional, integration and regression tests.
• Experience in testing EDI applications.
• Develop and execute test scripts for HIPAA X12 transactions (837I/837P; NCPDP D.0).
• Write SQL queries for test data validation.
• Script automated test suites.
• Review, analyze and report test results.
• Experience with HP ALM and JIRA.
• Test web applications.
• Healthcare claims processing testing experience.
• Prioritize deadlines and work with minimal supervision.
• MS Office proficiency.
• Collaborate with end users for thorough UAT.
• Knowledge of Agile methodology.

Responsibilities

• Experience assessing the testability of requirements and developing test cases based on Business Requirements and Software Design Documents.
• Experience in the execution of functional, integration and regression tests.
• Demonstrated Experience in Testing EDI Applications.
• Hands on experience to develop and execute test scripts for HIPAA X12 EDI Transactions such as 837I, 837P and NCPDP D.0
• Experience developing SQL queries.
• Experience in scripting automated Test Suites.
• Experience in the review, analysis and reporting of test results.
• Experience with Test and Defect Management Tools. HP ALM, JIRA preferred.
• Experience on testing web applications.
• Experience with Healthcare Claims Processing Testing.
