Job summary

Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno, NV, seeks a Surveillance/IT Technician to install and maintain surveillance cameras, access control devices, and related systems in a fast-paced casino environment.

You will troubleshoot hardware and software, perform routine maintenance, and coordinate with internal teams and vendors to ensure secure, compliant operations. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
  • Gaming license required—Must be 21 years of age.
  • 1–2 years’ experience in a high-paced environment preferred.
  • 0–2 years’ experience in Low Voltage/IT.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
  • Basic Windows and PC knowledge.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office.
  • Familiar with camera software preferred.
  • Experience with wire terminations (CAT6, coax, fiber etc.), cameras, or locksmith.

Responsibilities

  • Install surveillance equipment such as cameras, switches and racks.
  • Install access control hardware such as electric strikes and locks.
  • Troubleshoot surveillance and access control systems and related software.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on surveillance hardware and software.
  • Track and communicate work via the Helpdesk system.
  • Coordinate with vendors and teams during design, acquisition, and installation phases.
  • Perform low voltage duties and cable terminations.

Overview

Come join Team Atlantis! The incumbent in this position is primarily responsible for providing excellent customer service to all Team Members, and to conduct himself/herself in a manner which demonstrates initiative, professionalism, personal awareness, integrity, and exercises confidentiality in the appropriate areas of his/her performance.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for physical installation of Surveillance equipment such as Cameras, Switches and Racks.
  • Responsible for installation of access control hardware such as electric strikes and locks.
  • Troubleshoot and solve technical issues involving the specific access control and surveillance systems. Includes door locks (Both electronic and physical), access control software and physical infrastructure. Surveillance hardware, including cameras, displays, networking and software applications.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on Surveillance and Access Control hardware/software.
  • Ensure proper check-in and check-out of physical keys.
  • Duplication of keys, changing of key cores/cylinders, key cutting, alteration of pins, changing of levers, picking of locks (if necessary).
  • Identify and troubleshoot basic network related problems on Surveillance or Access Control Systems.
  • Develops documentation for all end user hardware and software with regard to installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, licensing, configuration, and network connectivity.
  • Track and communicate work on assigned issues and projects in our Helpdesk Ticket System.
  • Coordinate with vendors, fellow Team Members, and other groups of the IT organizational structure during the design, acquisition, and installation phases of new systems and solutions to ensure compliance and compatibility.
  • Low voltage duties such as running CAT6, Fiber, etc. and termination of such.
  • Ability to build solid relationships with team members in a collaborative environment.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned my management.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel crouch or crawl; talk, and hear. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
