Job description

Genesis10 is currently seeking an IT Security Specialist with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract position.



Responsibilities:

• Participate in operational support shift rotation


• Service Validation and Testing; as part of Change Management, design and perform service validation and testing


• Demonstrate strong communications skills by effectively communicating with users, team members, application development teams, other infrastructure support teams, and management


• Incident management; coordinate incident resolution with service users and other infrastructure teams, leveraging enterprise Incident Management systems, strong customer-focus, and technical knowledge of the applications


• Change Management; ensure that standardized methods and procedures are used for efficient and prompt handling of all changes


• Participate in reviews of proposed changes, the change control processes, change implementations, and post-implementation reviews

Requirements:

• Enterprise File System - application and runtime deployment operations


• Linux admin skills


• Playbook and documentation skills - SRE values


• Experience automating configuration management tools such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or Selenium


• Strong organizational and time-management skills


• DevOps or SRE


• Web Application support - Apache Tomcat, JAVA


• Experience with automated testing processes and tools


• Software development exposure - Java/.NET


• Scripting ability (Python, Perl, and/or shell)

Pay Range: $67.36-$75.36
