Job summary

HappyGlobal Service is seeking an on-site IT support specialist in Santa Clara to manage day-to-day tickets, assist with network issues, and maintain local infrastructure. You will implement security policies and act as the local responder for security incidents, coordinating with headquarters for complex cases.

The role requires 2+ years of IT on-site experience, proficiency across Windows/macOS/Linux, and awareness of cloud services (AWS/GCP).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field preferred.
• Equivalent professional work experience will be fully considered in lieu of a formal degree.
• 2+ years of relevant IT on-site support/operations experience.
• Proficient in Windows/macOS/Linux; strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Wi‑Fi).
• Experience with SCCM/Intune/GPO/MDM; familiarity with SSO/MFA/VPN/Zero-trust.
• Ability to execute security compliance policies and triage incidents; basic automation skills (Shell/PowerShell/Python); cloud familiarity (AWS/GCP).
• Effective English communication; strong service mindset and security awareness.

Responsibilities

• Cloud & Collaboration: assist with cloud resources; coordinate with HQ teams.
• Standby Duty: participate in scheduled after-hours standby and emergency response.

Job description

1. On-site IT support: Manage day-to-day IT tickets (endpoints, accounts, software, network, conference rooms/AV). Handle device/account provisioning and meet resolution SLAs.

2. Network troubleshooting: Serve as the on-site first responder for local network issues (wired/wireless/VPN/DNS/DHCP); perform diagnosis and coordinate with Tier 2/HQ.

3. Infrastructure operations: Perform physical maintenance (rack-and-stack, inspection, RMA) for local gear.

4. Security policy execution: Implement HQ-issued security policies (EDR/AV, network access, MFA).

5. Security incident response: Act as the local first responder for security incidents; support investigation, isolation, and remediation.

6. Cloud & Collaboration: Assist with cloud resource operations; collaborate with HQ teams while maintaining local operational discipline.

7. Standby Duty: This role requires participation in scheduled after-hours standby and emergency response. (See Compliance Statement below).

Qualifications

2. Technical Skills: Proficient in Windows/macOS/Linux; strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, Wireshark); experience with SCCM/Intune/GPO/MDM; SSO/MFA/VPN/Zero-trust familiarity.

3. Security & Scripting: Ability to execute security compliance policies and triage incidents. Basic automation skills (Shell/PowerShell/Python) and cloud familiarity (AWS/GCP).

4. Language & Soft Skills: Effective English communication; strong service mindset and security awareness.
