Job summary

Transcard's IT Security internship in Chattanooga, TN offers hands-on exposure to security operations during standard business hours. You’ll work under the Chief Information Security Officer and the Information Security Manager, gain real-world experience, and contribute to security monitoring and incident response.

Eligible students pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Security or Information Technology can participate; US residency is required and visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Majored in Information Security studies within the last two years.
• Familiarity with vulnerability scanners (e.g., NeXpose, Qualys, Tenable, IVM).
• Strong independent work, time management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Interview InfoSec engineers and catalog security event log sources from on-premise and cloud systems.
• Collaborate with InfoSec staff to ensure all log sources report to the SIEM system.
• Analyze SIEM alerts and produce a report with improvement recommendations.
