Emerson Hospital is seeking an IT Security Analyst I to provide security operations coverage and platform administration. The role involves daily monitoring for tickets, alerts, and incidents, and the maintenance and optimization of various security applications.

Reporting to the Information Security Officer, the analyst will work closely with the IT Server, Network, Desktop, and Application teams and vendors to implement security controls and coordinate changes to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred, and/or equivalent experience/ training.
• Minimum of one year of experience in information technology, preferably in a desktop support or other similar role, or comparable experience
• Awareness of cybersecurity and privacy principles, cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and remediation
• A valid Massachusetts Driver`s License may be required.
• Relevant security certifications are preferred.

As a key member of the Information Security team the IT Security Analyst I will provide security operations coverage and platform administration. The security operations role involves daily monitoring for tickets, alerts, and incidents. The platform administration role involves the maintenance and optimization of various security applications. The IT Security Analyst I will be a member of the Information Security team and report to the Information Security Officer. The IT Security Analyst works closely with the IT Server, Network, Desktop, and Application teams and vendors to implement security controls and coordinate the roll out of changes to resolve complex issues impacting the environment. The role will require rotating on‑call coverage for one week at a time.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in information systems or related specialty strongly preferred, and/or equivalent experience/ training.

Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience in information technology, preferably in a desktop support or other similar role, or comparable experience

Awareness of cybersecurity and privacy principles, cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and remediation

Licensure and/or Certification: A valid Massachusetts Driver`s License may be required.

Relevant security certifications are preferred.
