Job summary

The Secretary of State in Atlanta seeks an IT Security Administrator to support, maintain, and enforce enterprise security controls across systems. You will manage security tooling, user access, monitoring, and compliance to protect confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

You will help develop security policies, SOPs, and standards, serve as escalation for analysts, and participate in on-call rotations. A bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in IT security are required; certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CS/IS/Cybersecurity or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional IT experience, cybersecurity, networking, or systems administration preferred.
  • Experience with security tools and technologies (SIEM, IAM, endpoint protection, firewalls, vulnerability management).
  • Experience in security monitoring, log reviews, incident response, and audits.
  • Security certifications (e.g., Security+, CySA+, SSCP) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support, maintain, and enforce information security controls across enterprise systems.
  • Administer, monitor, and audit security and IT systems and tools.
  • Lead implementation of new security solutions and system integrations.
  • Manage user access, authentication, and RBAC across platforms.
  • Conduct continuous monitoring, audits, and compliance checks.
  • Serve as escalation point for security analysts and incident guidance.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and assist with system administration tasks.
