Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking an IT Risk and Controls Consultant to support a DHS client in McLean, VA. The role focuses on IT controls audits, assessments, remediation, and related internal control tasks, including reporting to senior leadership and coordinating with system admins.

The ideal candidate will have a solid IT audit background, knowledge of OMB A-123, FISCAM, and the ability to develop robust remediation plans while working with diverse client stakeholders. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 3+ years in IT controls, audit, assessment, or remediation preferred.
• Master's degree is a plus.
• CISA certification is desirable; knowledge of IT risk, IT controls, and federal guidance is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform IT controls audits/assessments using industry standards and leading practices.
• Conduct walkthroughs and communicate with client stakeholders and IT personnel.
• Review artifacts like security plans, SOPs, system configurations to support tests.
• Document test results clearly for repeatability and review.
• Summarize assessment results for senior leaders and plan remediation actions.
