Job summary

Riveron IT Risk Advisory team seeks a Senior Associate to assess IT General Controls, support SOX readiness, and contribute to cybersecurity engagements for diverse clients in a dynamic environment.

You will work with senior team members, develop remediation roadmaps, and deliver insights that strengthen governance, risk, and compliance programs while traveling as needed to client sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, MIS, or related field
• 3+ years IT auditor or IT risk advisor experience in public accounting
• Knowledge of IT risk management, general and application controls, cybersecurity, and SOX/NIST/ISO frameworks
• Strong client relationship development and communication skills
• Willingness to travel as required by client location

Responsibilities

• Understand clients’ objectives and regulatory/risk environment
• Assist IT General Control Assessments and SOX Compliance projects
• Evaluate impacts of IT developments on client business
• Assess design adequacy and test operating effectiveness of controls
• Analyze data to review system/process effectiveness
• Create internal controls process flows and risk/control matrices
• Maintain competency with COSO, COBIT, ISO auditing standards
• Set priorities and coordinate daily project activities
• Plan and direct staff and senior consultants
• Communicate with clients to drive expectations and report progress
• Deliver oral and written project outcomes to executives
• Stay updated on emerging IT risk areas and trends
