Job Title : IT Regional Security & Compliance Manager for EMCOR Construction Services

Department : Information Technology

Location : McLean, VA

Reports to : EMCOR Construction Services Director of IT

FLSA Status : Full-Time / Exempt

OVERVIEW

EMCOR Construction Services (ECS) is part of EMCOR Group, Inc. The ECS headquarters team in McLean, VA, supports its electrical and mechanical companies with finance, HR, legal, purchasing, and IT services.

The Regional Security & Compliance Manager reports to the ECS Director of IT and collaborates with the ECS Security & Compliance Manager and the EMCOR Security & Compliance Team. This position is based in McLean, VA, but candidates from other locations who meet the requirements may be considered.

The role focuses on ECS Operating Companies in the Western US and can be performed remotely by a qualified candidate from the Western US or near major airports.

Compensation Range : $[min], - $[max]

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key areas include but are not limited to:

  • Providing support and guidance to ECS HQ and Operating Companies to ensure compliance with security and IT policies and addressing related issues.
  • Monitoring security & IT metrics remotely and on-site at OpCos.
  • Ensuring adherence to SOPs and timely completion of required metrics.
  • Collaborating with OpCo executives and IT teams on risk mitigation activities.
  • Traveling up to [%] to US-based OpCos, primarily in the US West.
  • Offering technical support to subsidiary IT personnel for initiatives and issue resolution.
  • Building relationships with IT administrators and management across the organization.
  • Participating in scheduled security and compliance meetings at various levels.
  • Leading remote and in-person reviews of security metrics and needs.
  • Assisting with remediation tasks with OpCo IT teams, both remotely and onsite.
  • Coordinating and conducting security questionnaire responses.
QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed, the individual must perform all duties satisfactorily. The following are required:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • At least 5 years of experience with Security & Compliance in a complex IT environment.
  • At least 3 years of experience working with Windows Server and desktop platforms.
  • Ability to work independently or in small teams effectively.
  • Experience in security remediation, CVEs, alerts, and SOP compliance.
  • Proficiency with EDR, MFA, SSO, and identity tools like Okta.
  • Knowledge of CMMC, NIST CSF, ISO standards, and privacy/security standards.
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Entra ID.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Industry certifications (e.g., GIAC, CISSP, CISM) preferred but not required.
  • Experience with Autopilot, Intune, and similar tools.
  • Participation in security projects and risk mitigation meetings.
  • Experience collaborating with different departments to reduce risk.
  • IT support knowledge, including application and mobile device security.
  • Experience with enterprise security tools.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Preference for candidates in the Western US or other qualifying locations.
  • Work hours are generally [hours], with flexibility as needed.
  • Participation in weekly or after-hours maintenance or meetings as required.
