Job summary

Texas State Technical College seeks a Manager of IT Project Management to provide leadership, strategic direction, and governance for the planning and delivery of technology projects across the College. This position leads the IT Project Management team and ensures initiatives align with College priorities and governance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management, MIS, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience managing enterprise technology projects, programs, or portfolios.
• 2+ years of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience coaching project professionals.
• Demonstrated PMP/CSM/PMI-ACP or similar certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and governance for IT project management practices across the college.
• Lead the PMO team, establish performance metrics, and report portfolio health to executives.
• Oversee end-to-end delivery of complex technology initiatives with cross-functional teams.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and align projects with institutional priorities.
• Incorporate organizational change management into project delivery and adoption.
• Drive project intake, prioritization, and continuous improvement across the portfolio.
