Job summary

Texas State Technical College is seeking a Manager of IT Project Management to provide leadership, governance, and strategic direction for technology projects across the college. You will lead the PM team, establish standards, and ensure initiatives align with college priorities.

The role requires balancing governance with agile practices, mentoring staff, and delivering data-driven reporting to executive leadership across multiple campuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Business Admin, PM, MIS, or related field.
• 5+ years managing enterprise technology projects, programs, or portfolios.
• 2+ years of leadership, supervisory, or significant team lead experience.
• Preferred: 7+ years PMO/portfolio management in higher education or public sector.
• PMI-PMP, PMI-ACP, or CSM certification recommended.
• Experience with enterprise SaaS platforms, ERP systems, system integrations.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct leadership, mentorship, and supervision to the IT Project Management team.
• Establishes IT project management standards, templates, and metrics across delivery frameworks.
• Oversees end-to-end execution of complex technology initiatives and integrations.
• Partners with academic, administrative, and operational leaders to align technology solutions with needs.
• Leads project intake, evaluation, prioritization, and post-implementation reviews for continuous improvement.
