Job summary

The Maricopa County Recorder's Office seeks an IT Project Manager to organize and drive project delivery across business and technical teams. Projects include software development, infrastructure, and vendor-supported solutions.

The successful candidate will lead projects with competing priorities, fixed deadlines, cross-functional dependencies, and significant operational impact, requiring strong planning and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience managing information technology projects from initiation through implementation and closeout.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other closely related field.
• Other combinations of education and experience may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Leads technology projects from initiation through implementation, transition, and closeout.
• Define objectives, scope, milestones, dependencies, resource needs, constraints, and measures of success with sponsors.
• Develops project plans, schedules, budgets, communication materials, status reports, decision records, and documentation.
• Coordinates activities across business units, software development, QA, infrastructure, security, vendors, and support teams.
• Facilitates planning, status, decisions, readiness, and closeout meetings; follows up on commitments and actions.
• Monitors scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies; escalates barriers to delivery.
• Manages changes with impact analysis and updates to plans, schedules, and communications.
• Coordinates requirements, design, testing, security review, deployment, training, and operations transition.
• Presents project communications to leadership, sponsors, vendors, and teams; conducts closeout and lessons learned.
