Job summary

Gravity IT Resources is seeking an IT Project Manager II in the Coachella Valley, CA to lead multiple IT projects end-to-end within a Waterfall framework. The role supports a growing PMO in a not-for-profit health system, collaborating across Epic, infrastructure, and cybersecurity domains.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of PM experience and a valid PMP, with a preference for healthcare IT exposure. This is an onsite-first role with potential remote flexibility as tenure develops.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, or four additional years of applicable experience in lieu of a degree.
• Active PMP certification is a hard requirement.
• Five years of overall project management experience.
• Comfortable running exclusively Waterfall project delivery.
• Able to work mostly onsite to start; limited remote flexibility over time.

Responsibilities

• Lead 2–4 small-to-medium IT projects at a time through their full lifecycle, including planning, resourcing, vendor management, and status reporting, using Waterfall delivery.
• Work across Epic, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and other areas, often shifting between project types.
• Manage vendor relationships and cross-team coordination, setting expectations and ensuring resources are available.
• Contribute to a growing pipeline of initiatives, including Epic modules, IT build-out for new patient-care buildings opening in 2027, a major 340B pharmacy initiative, a Microsoft 365/Teams modernization rollout, and AI projects.
• Spend ~20% of time on PMO administrative work: reporting, intake, and shaping PMO policies.
• Ramp up over the first year with smaller get-oriented projects, building toward 3–4 concurrent projects by year’s end.
