City of Colorado Springs is seeking an IT Project Manager II to oversee multiple complex IT projects from initiation to close-out while coordinating teams, tracking progress, and addressing risks and issues. The role emphasizes collaboration across business units, technical teams, and vendors to ensure successful outcomes.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of professional IT project experience; PMP or related certifications are desirable and a salary schedule

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in a related area of study.
• Three years of full-time, professional experience in a related field.
• PMP Certification or other PM/BA certificates such as PgMP, CAPM, SAFe, ECBA are desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Manage multiple IT projects from initiation through close-out.
• Develop and maintain project charters, schedules, risk and communication plans.
• Build partnerships across business units, technical teams, and vendors.
• Communicate project status, risks, milestones to stakeholders and leadership.
• Identify risks and change impacts; work with teams to maintain progress.
• Translate business requirements to technical teams and explain options.
