Job summary

The Nevada Department of Agriculture is seeking an experienced contract IT Project Manager to lead three major SaaS implementation projects. This is not an entry-level role; you will manage three vendor teams, work with executive sponsors, and safeguard the State’s interests across schedule, scope, deliverables, risks, change management, and contract performance.

The engagement is full-time, approximately 40 hours per week, for about 16 months starting in September 2026, with target compensation

Job description

The Nevada Department of Agriculture (NDA) is looking for an experienced contract IT Project Manager to help lead three major, concurrent Software as a Service (SaaS) implementation projects.

This is not an entry-level coordination role. We need someone who can hit the ground running, manage three separate vendor teams, work effectively with executive sponsors and project owners, and help protect the State’s interests across schedule, scope, deliverables, risks, change management and contract performance.

The anticipated engagement is:

• Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week
• Approximately 16 months, beginning in September 2026
• Target compensation is approximately $50–$60 per hour. Rates above this range may be considered for candidates with particularly strong experience leading complex enterprise implementations and multiple vendors.

The strongest candidates will have substantial experience managing complex enterprise IT implementations, multiple vendors, executive stakeholders and competing priorities. Public-sector experience and formal project management certification would be especially valuable but are not required.

We are particularly interested in candidates who are organized, decisive, collaborative, comfortable operating independently and able to bring structure to three strategically important projects from the outset.
