Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager in Colorado to drive delivery within the Digital Operating Model. You will build plans, track milestones, manage risks, and coordinate IT, digital product, and engineering teams using Azure DevOps and Confluence.

You’ll partner with stakeholders across business units, translate requirements into action, and ensure timely decisions. A Bachelor's degree and 5–7 years of IT project management experience are required; PMP is a plus.

Job description

• Operate within the Digital Operating Model framework, applying agreed governance, delivery practices, and team ways of working.


• Build and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, and delivery trackers; track progress, key decisions, risks, issues, and dependencies, driving follow-up actions to keep work on schedule.


• Coordinate meetings and working sessions with IT, digital product, and engineering teams to align scope, technical dependencies, timelines, and responsibilities.


• Use Azure DevOps and Confluence to manage work items, document plans and decisions, maintain project artifacts, and provide visibility into delivery status.


• Prepare and deliver regular stakeholder updates covering status, risks, blockers, and upcoming milestones to ensure alignment and timely decision-making across business units.


• Leverage extended PMO team experience for best practices and contribute to continuous improvement of delivery processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; 5–7 years of IT project management experience required.


• PMP certification is a nice-to-have.


• Strong IT technical background with solid understanding of technical requirements and architecture dependencies.


• Ability to understand and navigate infrastructure migrations, software upgrades, technology retirements, and security-related changes in order to manage delivery effectively and anticipate project risks.


• Proficiency with Azure DevOps and Confluence for project tracking, documentation, and delivery visibility.


• Heavy attention to detail — able to track and manage multiple workstreams, dependencies, and action items simultaneously without losing accuracy.


• Comfortable managing multiple projects concurrently; strong prioritization and time management skills.


• Proven ability to build relationships and connect effectively with teams across different organizations, business units, and locations.
