Job summary

EMPIST, LLC is seeking an IT Project Manager to coordinate, track, schedule, and manage IT projects including network/server refreshes and cloud migrations. The role focuses on onboarding new MSP clients, ensuring readiness, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in IT Project Management, familiarity with Microsoft 365 and cloud environments, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of IT Project Management experience; MSP experience preferred
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, cloud environments, and general IT concepts
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• PMP certification or in‑progress is a plus
• High-School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Onboard new MSP clients from Sales handoff through go‑live and handoff to Operations
• Coordinate requirements across IT initiatives such as network/server refreshes, cloud migrations, and Wi‑Fi deployments
• Create and manage project schedules, resource assignments and timelines
• Communicate scope, milestones, risks and expectations to clients and internal stakeholders
• Ensure tasks meet scope, quality standards and PMO processes
• Facilitate project meetings and closeout calls
• Manage change orders and escalation paths for onboarding and projects
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery
• Maintain documentation and project artifacts for consistent delivery
• Guide clients toward EMPIST best practices and service standardization

EMPIST is currently seeking an IT Project Manager for our growing team!

We are looking for a bright, motivated, detail-oriented IT Project Manager to be responsible for coordinating, tracking, scheduling and managing the diverse components of IT projects (Network/Server Refreshes, O365/Cloud Migrations, Wi‑Fi Deployments, etc.) in order to execute these projects effectively, efficiently, on time and in budget. The IT Project Manager plays a critical role in welcoming new Managed Services clients, managing technical readiness tasks, and ensuring a smooth and professional transition into a long-term partnership with EMPIST.

Responsibilities

• Manage the onboarding of new MSP clients from Sales handoff through operational go‑live, including kickoff meetings, status updates, readiness tracking, and final handoff to Operations.
• Coordinate project requirements and deliverables across IT initiatives such as network/server refreshes, cloud migrations, and Wi‑Fi deployments.
• Create and manage project schedules, resource assignments, client timelines, and vendor coordination.
• Communicate project scope, milestones, risks, and expectations clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure tasks are completed according to scope, quality standards, and PMO processes.
• Facilitate project meetings, including kickoff, weekly updates, and closeout calls.
• Manage change orders, scope clarifications, and escalation paths for both onboarding and Professional Services projects.
• Work cross‑functionally with technical and non‑technical teams to ensure on‑time and on‑budget delivery.
• Maintain accurate documentation, handoff materials, and project artifacts to support consistent delivery.
• Guide clients toward EMPIST best practices and service standardization throughout the onboarding and project lifecycle.

Requirements

• High-School Diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience in IT Project Management; previous MSP experience will receive preferential consideration
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with strong organizational discipline.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail
• Proven ability to manage client expectations during early-stage engagements
• Ability to interpret, process, and deliver on SOWs
• Comfortable liaising with stakeholders from all levels, client-facing and internally
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, cloud environments, and general IT concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience with the Monday.com platform a plus
• PMP certification or in‑pursuit a plus
• Driven to learn, grow into a bigger role and take on more responsibilities

SALARY

$75-90k
