Job summary

MACHINE LEARNING TECHNOLOGIES LLC seeks an IT Project Consultant to support the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) in immunization system initiatives. The role emphasizes collaboration with ODH teams, drafting RFPs, and guiding project quality and governance processes.

Responsibilities include technical leadership on architecture and migration, stakeholder communication, and rigorous requirement documentation. This is a 12-month+contract with diverse work authorization requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist ODH Immunization Program and IT in drafting an RFP per State guidelines for a vendor for the Immunization Information System.
• Provide feedback to project teams on process improvement opportunities.
• Advise teams as they gather and document requirements.
• Provide technical leadership on system architecture and migration.
• Advise on vendor management implications post-contract award.
• Contribute to quality goals and metrics for the project.
• Review project work products for compliance with procedures and standards.
• Perform detailed reviews of interim and final tasks.
• Advise on evaluation process components and required documents (SLA, DRP).
• Use technical understanding to identify growth and resource management opportunities during contract span.

Job Description

This position will support the Bureau of Infectious Diseases and Office of Management Information Services at the Ohio Department of Health (ODH).

• Experience in developing Requests for Proposals for IT system contracts with the State of Ohio.

• Must have knowledge of ODH departments and how to collect RFP requirements from the affected users
• Must have knowledge and understanding of the ODH applications used for immunization registry
• Must be familiar with the ODH RFP process

Day-to-Day Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To

• Assist ODH Immunization Program and ODH IT in the process of drafting an RFP per State of Ohio guidelines for a vendor for the state's Immunization Information System.
• Provide feedback to project teams regarding process/procedure improvement opportunities and other potential areas for improvement discovered during project activities.
• Advise teams as they gather and document requirements.
• Technical leadership in identifying and documenting items needed by the project, including system architecture and platform migration.
• Advise about implications of requirements as related to vendor management after contract award.
• Contribute to the establishment of and meet quality goals and objectives for the project.
• Contribute to all aspects of quality assurance for the project including establishing relevant metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.
• Review project's required work products to ensure compliance with approved tailored procedures and standards.
• Perform detailed reviews of interim and final tasks as appropriate.
• Advise about components of evaluation process and required documents such as Service Level Agreements and Data Recovery Plans.
• Use technical understanding to assist ODH in seeing opportunities for growth and resource management in contract span
