Job summary

San José-Evergreen Community College District is seeking a Programmer Analyst for the District Office. The role focuses on business process analysis, maintenance of district-wide software systems, and user training within a structured SDLC framework.

The incumbent reports to the Executive Director of ITSS, works a 40-hour week, and participates in a comprehensive benefits program with generous pension contributions. The appointment is full-time and located at the District Office.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with major in CS/IT or related field.
• Two years of experience in computer science, information technology, process analysis or related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, implementation, support and testing duties involving multiple platforms and technologies for assigned functional areas.
• Consult with users to determine business process requirements and objectives and to identify problems in existing programs and systems; discuss projects and feasibility of programming projects.
• Perform installation and configuration of software packages; confer with other staff as needed to resolve application, system and/or network conflicts.
• Participate in the review and documentation of processes and procedures regarding requirements, organization and flow of data, methods, forms and reports.
