Gartner IT is seeking a seasoned IT Program Manager to lead a global portfolio of technology projects within the Conference Technology group at the Irving, TX Center of Excellence. You will drive agile transformation, coordinate dispersed teams, and ensure delivery aligned with strategy.

You will report to senior leadership, coach Scrum Masters, track metrics, manage budgets, and foster collaboration. This role offers a flexible hybrid environment with strong compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT program or project management experience.

About the role:

Gartner is looking for a well-rounded IT Program Manager who can provide project and program leadership for technology projects within Gartner’s Conference Technology organization. As the Global Conferences business continues to grow, our Conference Technology team will aim to deliver world-class execution, world-class digital products, and world-class data availability. The IT Program Manager role will lead a complex Portfolio of IT projects across multiple technology services. They are accountable for the quality of the results,benefitsrealization,timelydelivery, ensuring that projects are planned and executed in a manner consistent with company strategy, commitments, goals, and standards. They willbe responsible forimplementing and ensuring adherence to standard Agile practices, coaching and guiding teams through continuous improvement and adoption. In thisroleyou willbe requiredto manage and collaborate with geographically dispersed teams. The candidate must have experience driving Agile transformations and improving organizational Agile maturity.

Whatyou willdo:

Responsible for the oversight and management of global technology-based Project Portfolio in support of IT initiatives. Accountable for improving organizational Agile maturity and adherence to Agile practices, and for fostering an environment of collaboration and high impact results

• Enforce strategic portfolio management standards and practices, promoting transparency,executionand risk discipline across technology developmentwork.
• Analyze the scope and direction of initiatives across multiple levels of management and organizational boundaries
• Direct multiple sub-team project plansand executioneffortsinto a cohesive whole
• Evaluate project and program performance consistently with key performance indicators
• Partner with technical leadership to report project progress to executive level and cross-team stakeholders. Leverage personalexpertiseto develop and present rational conclusions,recommendationsand direct implementation strategies/action plans
• Facilitate the adoption of Agile methodologies, standards and practices across multiple services and ensure adherence by Technology teams.
• Provide guidance and support to Scrum Masters in Agile principles and practices
• Leverage Agile metrics like lead time, cycle time, velocity, and burn-down charts tomonitorteam performance andidentifyareas for improvement
• Identifysystemic operational issues and resolve them as well asidentifyroot causes and process improvements to present similar issues
• Responsible for the creation of long-term strategies and approaches to control and manage projects in support of complex business requirements
• Support the development of strategic and tactical planning of technology and people resources necessary for successful completion of several large-scale projects

What you will need:

Strong IT professional with 10+ years of experience in program management. The candidate should have strong qualitative and quantitative problem-solving skills along withhigh onownership and accountability.

Must have:

• 10+ years of experience working with IT Development teams in project/program management capacity
• Deepexpertisein Agile & Waterfall methodologies; proventrack recordof effectively coaching teams to achieve Agile maturity
• Demonstrated leadership skills working with matrixed teams,managementand executive stakeholders in a dynamic, growth environment
• Strong ability to understand, influence and manage stakeholder expectations and to resolve issues that may affect delivery
• Strong project leadership, adept at Backlog Refinement, Risk Management, Stakeholder Management, Agile Team Building across multiple global teams, Release Management and Conflict Resolution
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and translate complex concepts into actionable steps
• Ability to manage project financials including budget plans, monitorspendand prepare for potential risks
• Strongproficiencyin Microsoft Suite,JIRAand Confluence

Whoyou are:

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Demonstrated leadership skills;strong communication, collaboration, people management & influencing skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple project deliverables
• Critical thinker, with a demonstrated ability to learn beyond formal training with a strong aptitude for delivering quality products
• Excellent communicator, both written and verbal, to all levels of the organization

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 108,000 USD - 148,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
