Job summary

Tampa Electric Company is seeking an IT Project Manager Lead, Progression in Tampa, FL. The Lead oversees large, cross-functional IT programs, ensures strategic alignment, governance, and delivery excellence, and mentors PMO staff.

Required are a Bachelor's degree, PMP certification, and 8 years of PM/Program Management experience including enterprise initiatives. This role sits in the Technology department and reports to the PMO leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience
• PMP Certification required; CAPM or Agile preferred
• 8 years of project/program management experience including enterprise initiatives
• Strong governance, budgeting, and portfolio management skills

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-scale, cross-functional programs aligning with strategy
• Define scope, objectives, and deliverables with sponsors
• Oversee portfolio governance: budgets, timelines, resources
• Mentor junior PMs and advance PMO maturity
• Promote PMO methodologies and best practices
• Provide strategic portfolio reporting with KPIs and health metrics
• Collaborate with partners and vendors to deliver projects
• Drive technology opportunities to enable business goals
• Lead technology demand management and roadmaps
• Support contract negotiations and funding decisions with partners
