Job summary

The University of Alabama is seeking an IT Project Manager III to act as a facilitator for Office of Information Technology projects, guiding IT operational managers and project teams across campus.

This senior role manages large, complex projects, oversees project plans, and mentors other IT project managers. A master’s or bachelor’s degree with PM experience and a valid driver’s license are required. Hybrid work is possible under university policy.

Qualifications

• Master's degree and two (2) years of IT project management experience; OR bachelor's degree and four (4) years of IT project management experience; OR associate's degree and six (6) years of IT experience to include four (4) years of IT project management.
• Must have valid U.S. driver’s license. Must be at least 19 years of age and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report.

Responsibilities

• Lead larger, more complex IT projects requiring advanced project management expertise.
• Serve as liaison and mentor to operational managers and project teams across campus.
• Oversee, create, and implement project plans for enterprise IT initiatives.
• Provide feedback and mentorship for other OIT project managers.
