Job summary

Ombra in Tampa, FL (and Potsdam, NY) seeks a talented IT Professional Intern to join our internship program and contribute to RMF documentation and cyber security tasks.

The role supports managing RMF documentation, cyber-related proposals, IT support, and other security duties essential to operations, with hands-on learning in a DoD-aligned environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Cyber Security, IT, CS, or related field.
• Commit to 15–20 hours per week with majority in-office.
• Experience with Windows and Linux, networking concepts, and cloud environments.
• Ability to write technical content for proposals and reports.
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.

Location: Tampa, FL or Potsdam, New York
Salary Range: $20/hour

Position Summary

Ombra is seeking a talented and motivated IT Professional Intern to join our dynamic team and take part in our internship program.

The ideal candidate will assist managing Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation, contribute to cyber-related proposals, provide IT support, and execute other cyber security-related tasks vital to our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with DoD CMMC 2.0 standards.
• Maintain robust cyber security practices.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and networks.
• Document IT processes, procedures, and system configurations.
• Provide technical support and training to staff as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be pursuing a degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Must commit to working between 15-20 hours a week, with at least majority those hours in-office, Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM – 5 PM.
• Proficiency with Windows/Linux systems, networking concepts, and cloud environments.
• Ability to write technical content for proposals and reports.
• Strong critical thinking and analytical, problem-solving skills.
