Job summary

Saronic Technologies seeks an IT Production Support Technician to provide hands-on support for our manufacturing environment. You will support Zebra printers, barcode scanners, production workstations, displays, and connected IoT devices, ensuring uptime and reliability.

The role requires 3+ years in IT for manufacturing or similar, strong troubleshooting and communication skills, and the ability to translate technical issues for non-technical users.

Qualifications

• Assc/Bachelors in CS or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years IT experience supporting manufacturing technology or similar.
• Proficiency in hardware, software and networking troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication and customer service with non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline and escalated support for manufacturing systems and OT, including Zebra printers, barcode scanners, production workstations, displays, shop-floor networking, and connected IoT devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, application, and network issues impacting production to minimize downtime.
• Act as primary responder for manufacturing system incidents and coordinate cross-functional resolution.
• Support data tasks and production workflows, including basic SQL, Splunk; Python is a plus.
• Coordinate IT support with the broader IT team and maintain knowledge base articles.

JOB OVERVIEW

Saronic Technologies is seeking an IT Production Support Technician to provide hands-on technical support across our manufacturing environment. This role sits at the intersection of IT and production, ensuring that critical systems—such as Zebra printers, barcode scanners, production workstations, and manufacturing applications—operate reliably and efficiently. You will be a key IT partner to manufacturing, and operations teams, supporting day-to-day production activities while driving continuous improvement in systems, processes, and uptime.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide frontline and escalated support for manufacturing systems and operational technology, including Zebra printers (ZPL configuration and troubleshooting), barcode scanners, production-floor workstations and displays, shop-floor networking, and connected IoT devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, application, and network issues impacting production, with urgency and precision to minimize downtime.
• Act as a primary responder for manufacturing system incidents and coordinate cross-functional resolution efforts when necessary.
• Support data-related tasks and production workflows, including basic query troubleshooting (SQL, Splunk; Python is a plus).
• Coordinate IT support with the broader IT team.
• Maintain knowledge base articles and support documentation for supported systems and processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of IT experience supporting manufacturing technology, or a similar role.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
• Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with manufacturing systems (MES, PLCs, SCADA).
• Experience with industrial label printers (Zebra, ZPL, BarTender, etc.).
• Experience supporting production environments or shop-floor systems.
