Job summary

ExxonMobil in Spring, Texas seeks an IT Product Manager to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with business objectives and customer needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute work aligned with product priorities, technical standards, and organizational goals.

The role requires strong communication and at least 5 years in IT and 5 years in IT project/product management, with global collaboration experience.

Responsibilities

• Sets priority for the Delivery Team’s backlog of work aligned to product vision and roadmap.
• Manages product-facing metrics and dashboard with the business.
• Validates that product releases deliver value and discusses product performance with users.
• Ensures acceptance criteria are met before accepting user stories.
• Decomposes features into user stories delivering incremental value.
• Estimates work with delivery teams and aids prioritization.
• Identifies and prioritizes enabler work with System Architects.
• Participates in all team ceremonies for clarity and questions.
• Identifies and manages dependencies.
• Evaluates progress at each iteration.
• Develops product roadmap and release plans with Product Managers.
• Engages stakeholders with clear communication and leadership.

What Role You Will Play On Our Team

The IT Product Manager is accountable for delivering high-quality solutions that support business objectives and customer needs. The primary focus is on collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute work aligned with product priorities, technical standards, and organizational goals

What You Will Do

• Sets priority for the Delivery Team’s backlog of all unplanned and planned work aligned to product vision and roadmap balancing the team’s priority between delivering new functionality, removing technical debt, and delivering enabler work
• Take accountability with business in managing product-facing metrics and dashboard
• Validates that product releases deliver value for end users and has conversations with users about how well the product is working
• Ensures that acceptance criteria is met prior to accepting user stories as completed by the team
• Decomposes features into user stories that deliver incremental value for end users making sure items are clear and ready to be worked
• Works with delivery teams to estimate the work effort and provides input for program prioritization
• Partners with System Architects to identify and prioritize enabler work
• Participates in all team ceremonies to answer questions and provide clarity
• Help Identifies and manages dependencies
• Accountable for evaluating progress at each iteration
• Partners with Product Managers to develop the product roadmap, release plans and aligns team-level constraints with program-level expectations
• Strong communication and facilitation skills with the ability to effectively engage technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership.
• Proven ability to drive accountability, alignment, and issue resolution across diverse teams.

About You

Skills and Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree in Information Technology or related technical field
• A minimum of 5 years experience in Information Technology
• A minimum of 5 years in IT project/product management

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience:

• Experience in the Oil & Gas or Manufacturing industry
• Ability to collaborate in a global environment
• Broad understanding of how IT and Infrastructure systems work
