Job summary

ExxonMobil is seeking a highly experienced Business Development Manager to lead the development and execution of opportunities in the new Carbon Products area. You will build business models, design and negotiate complex agreements, and lead multi-party negotiations with customers and governments to unlock value for ExxonMobil.

You will develop external networks, align internal stakeholders, and craft strategic narratives to advance new business opportunities in a rapidly evolving energy

Qualifications

  • BS degree in business, engineering, industrial tech or related field.
  • 10+ years in commercial roles within the carbon value chain.
  • Experience in market development for new business spaces.
  • Experience with technology licensing models.
  • Global relationship development experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop business models to drive Carbon-rich Products.
  • Execute complex agreements from inception to conclusion.
  • Design elements of complex agreements to manage risk and maximize value.
  • Lead high-value negotiations with counterparties and governments.
  • Align internal stakeholders to define external positions to maximize value.
  • Create external influence plans and narratives for strategy implementation.
  • Develop external networks to identify value opportunities.

We are seeking a highly experienced and forward-thinking Business Development Manager to lead the development and execution of opportunities in the new business area of Carbon Products for ExxonMobil. This role combines deep domain expertise, innovation leadership, and operational excellence to develop new business model opportunities and relationships with potential customers.

What You Will Do
  • Develop and build the business models necessary to drive success in the Carbon-rich Products space. Carbon-rich Products includes all products in the carbon value chain.
  • Execute complex agreements from inception to conclusion and advise on complex global issues
  • Design key elements of complex agreements to manage commercial / geopolitical / regulatory and other risks while maximizing value
  • Lead high value / complex / multi-party negotiations with counterparties and Governments as appropriate
  • Lead alignment of internal stakeholders to define corporate external positions to maximize value
  • Create and execute complex external influence plans and internal persuasive narratives to support strategy implementation within specific tasks
  • Develop key external networks and build appropriate relationships to identify value opportunities
About You
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
  • B.S. degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field
  • 10+ years commercial experience in the commercial experience in the carbon value chain
  • Broad market development capability with leadership experience in developing and / or executing in new business spaces
  • Trained in research competencies
  • Business model design experience, including technology licensing models
  • Global relationship development experience
