Job summary

Programmers.io is seeking an IT Procurement Specialist to locate, contract, and purchase IT goods and services for the company, applying strategic sourcing to mitigate supply chain and data risks while coordinating with Legal and IS Security reviews.

The role focuses on IT category procurement, supplier onboarding, contract administration, and governance-related workflows, with familiarity in ZIP and DocuSign to streamline processes.

Qualifications

• Must have IT sourcing/procurement experience, at least 2 years.
• Experience with IT procurement activities including purchasing, supplier onboarding, and contract administration.
• Familiarity with RFPs, negotiations, and governance reviews.

IT Procurement Specialist

• Locates, contracts, and purchases capable sources of supply of goods and/or services on behalf of the company. Apply strategic sourcing skills to mitigate inherent supply chain risks, including data risks, to successfully contract with a third party. Conducts RFPs, negotiations, and coordinates applicable Legal and IS Security Reviews.
• This role will support purchasing and procurement activities within the IT category. Prior experience supporting IT-related procurement or purchasing activities is strongly preferred.
• Most of the work will involve facilitating and executing standard departmental workflows throughout the supplier lifecycle, including purchasing, supplier onboarding, contract administration, and governance-related activities. Experience with systems such as ZIP and Docusign would be beneficial.
