Job summary

The Fountain Group seeks a seasoned Technology Sourcing professional to drive strategic sourcing across software, cloud, and IT services. You will collaborate with Partners and senior leaders to design innovative sourcing strategies, conduct thorough spend analyses, and lead end-to-end events including RFPs, negotiations, and contract execution.

You will also help standardize procedures, partner with regional teams, and align sourcing efforts with ESG and risk management goals.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of procurement and negotiation in technology sourcing (hardware, telecom, AI).
• Experience managing sourcing events end-to-end including negotiations and contracts in excess of $1M.
• Strong presentation and communication skills for senior leadership.
• Familiarity with sourcing analytics, RFPs/RFQ processes, and cost analyses.
• Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of tech procurement tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology sourcing strategies with Category Managers and stakeholders to align with ESG and risk goals.
• Deliver sourcing events using tools like RFP/RFQ, negotiations, and contract execution.
• Create and implement SOPs to provide auditable sourcing experiences.
• Partner with regional sourcing managers to ensure consistent sourcing experiences across the firm.
• Develop and implement world-class sourcing processes, KPIs, and digital tools to streamline source-to-pay.

Overview:

Technology Sourcing plays a critical role in making responsible buying easy by ensuring we expertly source products and services across the firm. You will collaborate with a vast array of Tech-focused Internal Clients, and departments and optimize collaborators across our global footprint as you and your team design and deliver exceptional sourcing experiences.

What You’ll Do

You’ll leverage your deep expertise across software, cloud, and/or IT professionalservices, and technology software categories to co-create and execute innovative sourcingstrategies with Category Managers and Business Unit Stakeholders that enable the Firm’stechnology function and Optimize's impact, ESG, and risk goals.

You’ll deliver innovative software sourcing strategies underpinned by core strategicsourcing techniques (e.g., Spend Analysis, Clean Sheeting, Total Cost of Ownershipdetermination, Cost Breakdown Analysis, and Risk Management). Considers andrecommends optimum sourcing approach based on context and desired value outcome(e.g., comprehensive RFP, RFQ, direct negotiation)

You’ll drive the delivery of innovative and syndicated negotiation strategies for sourcingevents and leverage outstanding negotiation skills that deliver optimum outcomes.Prepare and syndicate thoughtful and robust Business Award Recommendations thatdeliver consensus of approval across stakeholders. You’ll partner with colleagues tocreate and follow Standard Operating Procedures that deliver consistent and auditablesourcing experiences.

You’ll have the opportunity to thought partner and co-create innovative sourcingsolutions with internal clients, optimize collaborators (examples: Category Leaders,Purchasing, Purchasing Operations, Legal Procurement, Suppliers, etc.) deliveringexceptional sourcing strategies and sourcing experiences.You’ll also build strongrelationships and partner with our regional sourcing managers, so our colleagues receivea consistent sourcing experience across the firm.

You’ll contribute to the global responsible sourcing vision, strategies, and prioritiesincluding driving forward the sourcing workstream within our ‘Make responsible buyingeasy’ transformation. This will include driving the development and delivery of a holisticand seamless source-to-pay process that supports our ESG goals, and risk principles.

You’ll have the opportunity to drive the development and implementation of world-classsourcing processes, principles, and KPIs for each category, identify and deploytechnologies that can digitize and automate these sourcing processes, and develop a clearand sustainable governance model for the sourcing practice.

Required Skills:

• - 7+ years of experience with procurement and negotiation of technology-related sourcing categories, including hardware, telecommunications, and AI solutions, with a focus on supporting Partners and Senior Partners is required.
• - Strong presentation and communication skills, including the ability to effectively engage with senior leadership needed.
• - Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end sourcing events, including supplier engagement, negotiations, and contract execution.
• - Experience managing contracts in excess of $1M strongly preferred.
• - Deep expertise in Sourcing Steps and Processes (examples: Conducting SpendAnalysis, Clean Sheet, Total Cost of Ownership and Cost Breakdown Analysis,Sourcing Strategy Development, Product/ Services Requirements and featuresMapping, RFP Excellence, Business Case development, and outstanding ability toNegotiate); knowledge of technology solutions that digitize and automate SourcingProcesses is highly valued
• - Procurement transformation experience is highly valued
• - Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint. Workday Sourcing, Coupa, Ariba nice to have but not required.
