General Dynamics Land Systems, a global leader in tracked and wheeled military platforms, seeks an IT Platform Engineer to modernize how we build, deploy, and operate our hybrid platform. You will automate infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments, using Terraform, Ansible, MECM, and scripting to drive secure, scalable operations.

You will design repeatable processes, implement CI/CD for infrastructure, and contribute to security and compliance in a fast-paced defense-focused setting.

Competenze

• 7+ years in infrastructure or systems engineering, with at least 2 years focused on automation and infrastructure as code.
• Hands‑on experience with Terraform and at least one configuration management tool (Ansible preferred).
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell and/or Python.
• Solid Git skills, including branching, pull requests and code review.
• Experience administering Linux and Windows Server in well regulated enterprise environments.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, GCP, or AWS).
• Understanding of networking, DNS, certificates and identity fundamentals.
• Must be a U.S. Person (i.e. a lawful permanent resident of the U.S.)

About the Position:

The IT Platform Engineer modernizes how we build, deploy and operate our hybrid platform. Turn manual processes into repeatable, version-controlled automation across on-prem and cloud environments in a compliance-driven environment (CMMC Level 2, with Level 3 underway) where security and consistency are built in from the start.

Minimum Qualifications:
