Job summary

Centor in Millersburg, Ohio, is seeking an IT/OT Systems Engineer to support and improve IT and manufacturing technology systems on site. You will ensure secure integration between business IT and production systems and collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, corporate IT, and vendors.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT/OT, industrial networks, and cybersecurity, with 5+ years of relevant experience and the ability to lead or support technology implementations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years IT/OT systems engineering, automation, or related experience.
• Experience with manufacturing systems, PLCs, SCADA, MES, or industrial networks.
• Strong knowledge of networking, servers, databases, and cybersecurity.
• Strong troubleshooting and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and support IT/OT systems and industrial networks.
• Support integration of PLCs, SCADA, MES, ERP, and other manufacturing systems.
• Troubleshoot system, network, hardware, software, and production technology issues.
• Support OT cybersecurity, access controls, system updates, and network security.
• Lead or support technology implementations, upgrades, and automation projects.
• Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain system documentation, network diagrams, and procedures.
• Coordinate with corporate IT, vendors, and equipment manufacturers.
• Support backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity for critical systems.
• Provide technical guidance to IT, Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations.

IT/OT SYSTEMS ENGINEER

Location: Millersburg Ohio. This position requires the associate to be onsite full time.

Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Position Summary

Centor, located in Millersburg, Ohio is seeking an IT/OT Systems Engineer. The IT/OT Systems Engineer is responsible for supporting and improving Centor’s IT and manufacturing technology systems. This position ensures reliable, secure integration between business IT and production systems and works closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, corporate/Gerresheimer IT, and vendors.

Essential Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and support IT/OT systems and industrial networks.
• Support integration of PLCs, SCADA, MES, ERP, and other manufacturing systems.

• 5+ years of IT, OT, systems engineering, automation, or related experience.
• Experience with manufacturing systems, PLCs, SCADA, MES, or industrial networks.
• Strong knowledge of networking, servers, databases, and cybersecurity.
• Strong troubleshooting and project management skills.
• Manufacturing/industrial experience preferred.

Work Environment

Works in both office and manufacturing environments and may require time on the production floor supporting operational technology.
