Job summary

The Chemours Company in Patterson, GA is seeking a Process Control Technician to join the IT/OT team. The role focuses on maintaining, updating, and improving computer-based process control systems across 24/7 manufacturing processes.

You will collaborate with Electrical/Instrumentation, Operations, Technical, and Engineering teams to ensure safe and efficient production and to implement control system changes. A strong background in PLC/SCADA and instrumentation is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with relevant certifications.
• Certificate in Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of operational experience in an industrial plant preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel/Word/PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair process control systems (PLC, HMI) and peripherals to support 24/7 production.
• Provide technical assistance for troubleshooting and incident investigation of process control issues.
• Coordinate with Electrical/Instrumentation, Operations, and Engineering to install and commission control projects.
• Perform backups, patches, and cybersecurity tasks for process control systems.
• Document completed work in SAP Work Management Process.
• Maintain calibration records for instrumentation and support plant upgrades.
