Job summary

Bot Auto in Houston is seeking an experienced IT Operations Manager to lead enterprise infrastructure, IAM, and automation. You will manage a small team while contributing technically, owning escalations, and guiding projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain robust, scalable enterprise infrastructure.
• Ensure high availability and reliability of critical infrastructure and business systems.
• Monitor and maintain IT systems for optimal performance, uptime, and security.
• Manage system updates, patching, and software deployment to keep environments secure and current.
• Drive continuous improvement of ITSM tooling and workflows to increase efficiency and service quality.
• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive IAM strategies and workflows, including RBAC, JIT access, and PAM.
• Continuously mature the MDM program — refine enrollment workflows, compliance policies, and configuration baselines as the fleet and workforce scale.
• Automate repetitive IT workflows and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of IT support and systems engineers, including performance reviews and growth plans.
• Set team priorities and manage workload distribution across projects, tickets, and on-call rotation.

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on IT Operations Manager to join our team. This role focuses on managing enterprise-wide infrastructure with an emphasis on identity and access management (IAM), system reliability, and workflow automation. Your scope spans corporate IT — offices, data center, endpoints, and SaaS — while also playing a supporting role in our autonomous trucking operations. You will lead a small IT team while remaining an active individual contributor — owning escalations, driving projects, and setting technical direction. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-moving environment where they can build scalable processes, mature our security posture, and directly shape how IT operates as the company grows.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT operations experience, including 2+ years leading or mentoring a team
• Hands-on experience administering an enterprise identity provider (Okta, Entra ID, or similar) — SSO/SCIM integrations, lifecycle automation, and authentication policies
• Proven experience managing a SaaS application portfolio, including licensing, provisioning, and spend optimization
• Strong scripting/automation skills (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) with API-driven integration experience
• Experience with MDM platforms (Jamf, Intune, or similar) across macOS and Windows fleets
• Familiarity with security compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2) and supporting audit readiness
• Experience managing virtualization platforms (Proxmox, VMware, or similar), including provisioning, resource allocation, and lifecycle management
• Experience administering enterprise storage systems — high-performance/HPC storage a plus, or solid grounding in corporate NAS/SAN environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep Okta administration experience or Okta certification
• Experience with NetBox or similar IPAM/DCIM tooling
• Working knowledge of network security concepts (segmentation, firewalls, VPN)
• Exposure to Kubernetes and GPU compute environments
