Position Overview

Member of a high performing team focusing on delivering stable uptime and efficiency through excellence in IT at the plant. This associate is responsible for delivering various digital manufacturing execution solutions that support business goals through modern design, development, testing, implementation, and support of advanced shop floor software. They serve as a subject matter expert associated with code and interfaces, processes, and procedures related to SAP ME, MII, and other digital assets on the shop floor. The role involves daily interaction with plant leaders regarding adoption and enhancement of digital controls. Successful MES associates will be able to assess and resolve business problems related to MES tools and create new digital capabilities. They will guide their plant through enterprise rollouts of new technology and play a key role in project lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment. The developer will oversee code modifications and manage data systems interfacing plant control systems with applications. A continuous drive to establish best practices and stay abreast of industry trends is essential to meet architecture standards and ensure user-friendly processes.

What you'll do

An employee in this position may be called upon to perform any or all of the following functions. (These examples do not include all duties.)

1. Develop and maintain shop floor software applications in SAP ME and MII for improved business performance, including machine integration, AI, and advanced algorithms (AWS).
2. Support both legacy and new SAP ME/MII applications.
3. Understand fabrication processes and standards of work.
4. Write functional requirements, develop test plans, and resolve production issues.
5. Collaborate with stakeholders and IT teams to understand requirements, assess solutions, and implement them.
6. Work with plant leaders on system stability, escalate issues as needed.
7. Translate business needs into technical designs and solutions.
8. Build strong relationships with stakeholders to understand business processes and pain points.
9. Understand manufacturing processes and how systems support these processes.
10. Ensure technical quality and performance in service delivery.
11. Leverage SAP ME/MII knowledge and industry best practices to optimize solutions.
12. Travel up to 10% for on-site support.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.
14. Work safely and maintain regular attendance.
