Job summary

Alpek Polyester USA, LLC is seeking motivated students for its IT Operations & Infrastructure Intern program at the Columbia Site in Gaston, SC. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• First‑line support: triage tickets, reset passwords, unlock accounts, monitor alerts, and escalate critical issues.
• Hardware & Deployment: Imaging/deploying PCs, cable patching, inventory tracking and asset tagging across IT sites.
• Maintenance & Setup: Software installations, updates, office moves, equipment setup, Windows Autopilot development and endpoint management.
• Documentation: Updating IT guides, knowledge base articles, tracking vendor billing.
• Supervised Projects: Basic network work, creating virtual machines, test user for CIS controls, Conditional Access policies, and security measures.

As an IT Operations & Infrastructure Intern, you will primarily support end‑user hardware deployment, multi‑site asset tracking, network operations and day‑to‑day technical troubleshooting. This internship provides hands‑on experience with real‑world challenges related to modern enterprise endpoint/general IT infrastructure management, virtual machine deployment, and corporate security compliance.

Responsibilities

The student selected as the IT Operations & Infrastructure Intern will work at our Columbia Site located in 570 K Ave Gaston, SC. Interns are reportable to their assigned team’s supervisor and will have the opportunity to collaborate cross functionally with other personnel and teams at their intern site to accomplish their assigned projects and tasks including:

• First‑Line Support: Ticket triage, password resets, and account unlock, monitor alerts and help identify urgent operational or infrastructure issues for escalation.
• Hardware & Deployment: Imaging/deploying PCs, cable patching. inventory tracking and asset tagging to be shared amongst all IT sites to check it before buying hardware.
• Maintenance & Setup: Software installations, updates, office moves, and equipment setup, development and testing of Windows Autopilot and endpoint management.
• Documentation: Updating IT technical guides, knowledge base articles, tracking vendor billing.
• Supervised Projects: Basic network implementation or troubleshooting, creating virtual machines, test user for CIS controls, Conditional Access policies, and other security measures.
