Job summary

Alpek Polyester USA, LLC is seeking a Quality Lab Analyst to join the Columbia Quality Assurance team in Gaston, SC. This role focuses on quality lab testing for site materials and maintaining safety and ownership in daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Must have valid drivere2a0license.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Strong math skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Laboratory experience preferred; manufacturing or lab background advantageous.
• Must be able to serve on the plant Emergency Response Team (ERT).
• Knowledge of analytical instruments (AA, GC, LC, FTIR, titration, XRF, gravimetric analysis) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhering to all applicable laboratory safety and documentation guidelines.
• Performing routine analytical quality testing in QC/QA lab for site materials (Monomers/Resins/rPET).
• Ensuring proper operation of lab equipment through routine checks and maintenance.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly laboratory environment.
• Effectively communicating lab results to staff in a timely manner.
• Serving on the plant Emergency Response Team (ERT).
• All other duties as assigned.

• Effectively communicating with staff and ensure that lab results are delivered in a clear and timely manner.
• Serving on the plant ERT (Emergency Response Team).

Skills & Qualifications

• Possess good interpersonal skills in communication, listening, and good safety practices.
• Possess good math skills

• Laboratory Experience is Preferred
• Must have either Manufacturing Experience or Laboratory Experience

• Preferred knowledge in the following analytical instruments and techniques: AA, GC, LC, FTIR, titration, X-ray fluorescence and gravimetric analysis.
