About the Role

The IT Operations & Events Support Associate is a hands‑on technology and operations professional responsible for supporting all IT, AV, hospitality, and event technology needs throughout Spring Place New York.

This is not a traditional desk‑based IT role. The ideal candidate enjoys being on their feet, moving throughout the building, and providing real‑time support to employees, members, clients, and guests. From troubleshooting conference room technology and supporting Toast POS systems to setting up TVs, displays, HDMI connections, and event spaces, this role is highly visible and requires a proactive, service‑oriented mindset.

As a hospitality‑driven membership club, Spring Place hosts programming, private events, corporate meetings, restaurant operations, and member experiences. The IT Operations & Events Support Associate plays a critical role in ensuring all technology functions seamlessly across these environments.

This is a member/client‑facing role that requires exceptional customer service, professionalism, and a hospitality‑first approach.

This position is 100% on‑site and no option to be remote or hybrid.

Responsibilities
  • Support all IT, AV, and hospitality technology across Spring Place, including member spaces, conference rooms, restaurant operations, rooftop areas, and event venues.
  • Partner with F&B and Events teams to ensure seamless execution of meetings, member programming, private events, and activations.
  • Set up, test, troubleshoot, and support TVs, displays, projectors, conference room technology, microphones, speakers, and presentation systems.
  • Serve as the primary on‑site support resource for Toast POS systems, including terminals, handheld devices, printers, payment devices, and related restaurant technology.
  • Monitor and maintain Wi‑Fi, networking equipment, and overall technology performance throughout the property.
  • Provide real‑time technical support to employees, members, clients, guests, and vendors during daily operations and live events.
  • Manage user accounts and technology platforms including Google Workspace, Slack, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and mobile devices.
  • Investigate and resolve helpdesk tickets while maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Maintain equipment inventory, organize storage areas, and ensure technology assets remain operational and event‑ready.
  • Coordinate with third‑party vendors and service providers to support ongoing IT initiatives and troubleshooting.
  • Create and maintain IT and AV standard operating procedures and documentation.
  • Support Member Services operations and assist with additional projects as needed.
Qualifications
  • 1‑3 years of hands‑on experience in IT support, AV support, hospitality technology, event technology, or a related technical support role.
  • Experience supporting live events, conference rooms, hospitality venues, coworking spaces, restaurants, private clubs, hotels, or similar customer‑facing environments is strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting POS systems, including Toast or similar restaurant technology platforms, is highly desirable.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Slack, Adobe Creative Suite, and both Mac and Windows operating systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting AV equipment, including TVs, displays, projectors, microphones, speakers, conferencing technology, HDMI connections, and presentation systems.
  • Familiarity with mobile device management and support for iOS, Android, and Windows devices.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a hospitality‑first approach to supporting members, clients, guests, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively while providing high‑touch customer service.
  • Ability to lift and move technology equipment and work throughout multiple areas of the property as operational needs require.
  • Must be available to work on‑site at our New York City location; this position is not eligible for remote or hybrid work.
