Blue Mantis is hiring an IT Operations Engineer to support multiple customers in the NJ/Philadelphia PA area. The candidate will manage Windows, Linux, Unix, cloud environments, and networking, with a focus on reliability and security.

Responsibilities include server administration, cloud operations (AWS, Azure, O365), virtualization (VMware), system monitoring (SolarWinds, DataDog), incident response, documentation, and ensuring SLAs are met across on-prem and cloud platforms.

Formación

• Proven experience administering Windows, Linux, and Unix environments.
• Strong cloud experience with AWS, Azure, and O365.
• Hands-on virtualization with VMware and containerization awareness.
• Experience with network gear (Cisco Nexus/Arista/Meraki) and firewall basics.
• Familiarity with DNS, Infoblox, and incident management tools (ServiceNow).

Blue Mantis is looking to hire a IT Operations Engineer to support multiple customers based in the NJ/Philadelphia PA area. The ideal candidate will be proficient in supporting various systems and applications, including server and cloud environments, and should also have experience with networking. This team supports a wide array of technologies to meet the needs of our customers' large enterprise network environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Server Administration: Manage and maintain Windows, Linux, and Unix environments to ensure optimal performance.
• Cloud Operations: Administer cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and O365 for enterprise workloads and containerization.
• Virtualization: Manage, configure, and troubleshoot VMware-based environments to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and availability of virtualized infrastructure.
• System Monitoring: Leverage platforms such as SolarWinds and DataDog to ensure network reliability and performance.
• Incident Management: Lead network-related incident resolution, ensuring SLAs are met and escalating issues when necessary.
• Security Best Practices: Implement and support secure networking solutions, ensuring robust protection in on-premise and cloud environments.
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including topology maps and procedures for troubleshooting.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Required Skills

• Strong experience Cisco Nexus/Arista/Meraki Switches, Cisco Wireless Controllers, Windows, Linux, and Unix environments using the ServiceNOW ticketing system.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, O365, VMware) and virtualization/containerization technologies, Infoblox, DNS, and remediation of vulnerabilities.
• Backup and DR Support: Experience supporting and troubleshooting backup and disaster recovery solutions such as Rubrik and Zerto, ensuring data protection and system resilience.
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, routing protocols, and network monitoring tools like SolarWinds.
• Familiarity with automation tools and scripting
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to dynamic priorities.

Preferred Skills

• Network troubleshooting in data center environments. (Cisco, Palo Alto, Meraki, Arista)
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automating server and cloud operations.
• Familiarity with cloud-based networking solutions in AWS, Azure, or O365 environments.
• Knowledge of infrastructure capacity planning and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration for managing distributed applications.
• Familiarity with security best practices, SIEM platforms, and endpoint protection.
• Experience with advanced video streaming technologies and CDNs.
• Familiarity with infrastructure performance tuning and capacity planning.

Qualifications

• Provide game day support on major holidays when games are played.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Certifications: CCNA, CCNP (or equivalent) ITIL and technical certifications in, servers and/ or cloud (preferred).
• Experience: Demonstrated expertise in a complex, multisite environment.

Base Salary Range: $120,000 to $165,000

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
