Job summary

Tanium is seeking an Operations Engineer to provision, install, configure, operate, and maintain systems hardware and software for R&D and engineering infrastructure. You will ensure systems are secure, well-maintained, and aligned with IT and security requirements.

The role emphasizes collaboration with DevOps and Engineering teams, automation, and ongoing improvements across Tanium’s infrastructure. Strong scripting and cloud experience are valued, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
• 2–3 years relevant work experience.
• Experience with Meraki network hardware and web interface.
• Direct experience with AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud.
• Experience managing DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory.
• Familiar with Nagios, Splunk, CheckMK, and DataDog.
• Basic understanding of network technologies and protocols.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Travel on short notice for network troubleshooting as needed.
• Manage the day to day operations of Tanium’s infrastructure.
• Participate in planning of short and long-term IT goals and direction.
• Develop tools for automation of tasks and integration of IT services.
• Follow the change management process.
• Document system configurations, installations, and maintenance processes.
• Collaborate with DevOps and Engineering teams to resolve operational challenges.
