Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or 2 years experience in cabling/low-voltage.
  • High School diploma/GED plus two years of experience in cabling, low-voltage systems, carpentry/building maintenance.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • On-call and respond immediately to trouble calls outside of general hours.
  • Rotating weekend and holiday coverage.
  • Arkansas Alarm License Level 1 preferred.
  • A+, Network+, MCP, CCNA preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation, taking calls for 1 week at a time.
  • Troubleshoot security system and network cabling components.
  • Install, program, and commission electronic control systems (door access, CCTV, intrusion, and related hardware).
  • Isolate or repair failed equipment and restore functionality.
  • Provide end-user support for badge access, video surveillance, and network components.
  • Document work and trouble calls using call-tracking software.
  • Provide daily status reports to the manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

  • Participate in a 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week, 365-days-a-year on-call rotation, taking call for 1 week at a time
  • Troubleshoot security system and network cabling components
  • Install, program, and commission electronic control systems, including door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, communication, structured cabling, cable management, electronic locks, Wi-Fi locks, network switches, point sensors, signaling devices, and associated hardware
  • Isolate or repair failed equipment or software and make configuration changes to restore full functionality
  • Provide end-user support for badge access, video surveillance, electronic control systems, and other network system components
  • Document work in progress and trouble-call solutions using call-tracking software
  • Provide the manager with daily status reports of ongoing projects
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field of study, or Associate's degree in computer science or a related field of study, or High School diploma/GED plus two (2) years of experience in cabling, low-voltage systems, carpentry/building maintenance
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Required to be on-call and to respond immediately to trouble calls outside of general work hours
  • Work occasionally may require in excess of eight hours per day
  • Rotating weekend and holiday coverage
  • A+, Network+, MCP, CCNA preferred
  • Arkansas Alarm License, Level 1 preferred
  • Customer Service experience preferred
  • Persons must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
  • Annual TB Screening and Criminal Background Check
  • Position is subject to pre-employment screening, including criminal background, drug testing, and/or education verification
