POSITION DESCRIPTION

The IT Support, Systems Administration & Network Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for providing comprehensive technical support, systems administration, infrastructure deployment, and IT operations across multiple organizational locations. This role combines hands‑on IT support, user administration, systems configuration, hardware deployment, networking, and project implementation responsibilities with enterprise infrastructure modernization initiatives utilizing Cisco Meraki technologies and cloud‑based business systems.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or infrastructure deployment.
  • Hands‑on experience with Cisco Meraki solutions.
  • Experience administering Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and cloud‑based applications.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Cisco Meraki Solutions Specialist
  • CompTIA Network+
  • Microsoft 365 or Azure Certifications
  • ITIL Foundation Certification
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

All of the responsibilities listed below are considered essential functions of this position. Additionally, this position is expected to ensure that the core operating values and the strategic direction of the agency are adhered to.

IT Support & Operations
  • Review, prioritize, and respond to incoming IT support tickets.
  • Follow up on unresolved or outstanding technical support issues.
  • Provide onsite IT support at multiple organizational locations including LC, HP, Coldwater, and Chatsworth.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, printing, and user access issues.
  • Conduct meetings with IT leadership regarding escalated tickets, infrastructure concerns, and ongoing projects.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to staff regarding IT systems and applications.
Project Coordination & Implementation
  • Participate in project kickoff meetings to define technical requirements, project timelines, and deployment strategies.
  • Coordinate with project managers, vendors, contractors, and client representatives.
  • Document project activities, technical configurations, and implementation milestones.
  • Provide project status updates and assist with project closure documentation.
  • Ensure successful delivery of IT infrastructure and operational projects.
Network Infrastructure Deployment
  • Configure, deploy, and support Cisco Meraki wireless access points, firewalls, and networking hardware.
  • Configure VLANs, ACLs, NAT rules, SD‑WAN, site‑to‑site VPNs, and SSL VPNs.
  • Implement Microsoft Entra ID Single Sign‑On integrations.
  • Conduct wireless connectivity testing and troubleshooting.
  • Perform firewall installations, cutovers, and connectivity validation.
Systems & Software Administration
  • Configure and maintain Zoom and Zoom Workspace Reservation systems.
  • Configure Air Access Badge Control systems.
  • Configure and support PaperCut Hive print management services.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot the SysAid ticketing system.
  • Maintain credentials and documentation within IT Glue.
User Account Administration & Onboarding
  • Create user accounts and provision access for new hires.
  • Conduct new hire IT onboarding and orientation sessions.
  • Offboard terminated or resigned employees.
  • Create and manage shared mailboxes and distribution lists.
Hardware Deployment & Asset Management
  • Configure and deploy laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Maintain inventory records using MIP and Datis.
  • Coordinate shipping logistics through FedEx.
  • Purchase approved IT equipment and supplies.
  • Obtain hardware quotes and process purchase orders.
Infrastructure & Office Technology
  • Inspect and maintain conference room technology and AV equipment.
  • Coordinate technical setup for staff meetings and presentations.
  • Monitor Ricoh printers and replace toner as needed.
  • Perform cable management and workstation organization.
Documentation & Training
  • Develop and maintain IT guides, documentation, and procedures.
  • Maintain network configuration and deployment documentation.
  • Train staff on organizational IT systems and applications.
Working Conditions
  • Travel between multiple office and service locations may be required.
  • Occasional after‑hours or weekend work may be necessary.
  • Ability to lift and install networking and workstation equipment.
Physical Activity
