The Space and Intelligence (S&I) Division provides engineering services and analytic support to the Air Force, Space Force, Combatant Commands, the Intelligence Community, and NASA. Our work includes systems engineering and integration, test planning and execution, cost estimating and analysis, developing approaches and concepts to meet emerging, high-priority National Defense needs, and assessing and developing cutting-edge computer-based solutions, advanced technologies, and progressive capabilities.

SPA has an immediate need for highly qualified Mid-Level (Journeyman) IT/Network Support Specialists to support our new U.S. Space Force, Space Systems Command Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power (SDA&CP) and Battle Management Command, Control, and Communications (BMC3) Support Services contract (Hemisphere) in multiple locations including El Segundo, CA, and Colorado Springs, CO.

Travel is not anticipated but could occur less than five percent of the time on an occasional and irregular basis, limited to domestic locations.

Responsibilities

We are seeking multiple candidates at the Mid- or Journeyman Level for the following positions:

  • Cyber Engineers in El Segundo, CA
  • Computer/Network System Engineers in El Segundo, CA
  • Digital & Software Engineers in El Segundo, CA
  • Power BI Platform Developers in Colorado Springs, CO
  • Software Engineers in El Segundo, CA
  • Lead Software Engineers in El Segundo, CA and Colorado Springs, CO
  • Principal Software Systems Engineers in El Segundo, CA

The Mid-Level (Journeyman) IT/Network Support Specialists supporting cybersecurity should have:

  • Knowledge in managing technical projects with emphasis on cybersecurity development, cyber integration, system (network) engineering, requirements development, software engineering, and algorithm design.
  • Experience with DoD and U.S. Military policies.
  • Effective communication skills with leadership, stakeholders, and industry communities.
  • Knowledge of interfacing with the cyber and DoD Intelligence Community.
  • Experience in contingency planning, testing, and validation for information system security.
  • Experience integrating cybersecurity into mission systems.
  • Experience supporting cyber tools development for cyber operators.
  • Experience collaborating with mission partners to develop solutions.
  • Familiarity with modern C5ISRT systems in the DoD.
  • Experience working within classified environments to meet warfighter needs.
  • Knowledge of system (network) engineering, technology development, government acquisitions, and space and intelligence systems.
  • Ability to evaluate cyberspace products for rigor, adequacy, and completeness.

The Mid-Level (Journeyman) IT/Network Support Specialists providing System Network and Administration support should have:

  • Knowledge in system (network) engineering, technology development, government acquisitions, and space and intelligence systems.
  • Experience with DoD and U.S. Military policies.
  • Experience with intelligence mission systems.
  • Effective communication skills with leadership, stakeholders, and development/industry communities.
  • Experience in researching and reporting on threats.
  • Experience developing and executing network security analyses based on RMF guidelines.
  • Knowledge of classified system (network) engineering processes and procedures, including ATO.
  • Ability to organize and conduct security support operations.
  • Expertise in WAN architecture planning and design.
  • Knowledge of ITSM and system requirements development.
  • Experience with space control, ground operations, and C2 systems.

Qualifications

Required:

  • U.S. Citizen
  • Active TS/SCI clearance or eligibility
  • Bachelor's degree in an IT-related discipline with at least 10 years of relevant experience

Desired:

  • Experience in U.S. Air Force or Space Force IT/Network environments
  • Knowledge in Space Domain Awareness and related fields
  • Master's degree or additional experience
  • Certifications such as PMP, CISSP, Security+
  • Skills in Java, Python, C++, Kubernetes, Azure, Cloud Computing
  • Current CI polygraph or willingness to obtain one

We offer a competitive salary range of $130,000 - $200,000, along with benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
