Job summary

Billings Clinic is seeking an IT Network Engineer (I-III) to join the PMO / Operations team. The role supports the data and voice infrastructure to enable high-quality health care across Billings Clinic and regional partners, with a focus on reliability, security, and performance.

Responsibilities include designing, implementing and maintaining network infrastructure, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent years of experience.
• 0-10 years’ experience with network infrastructure/architecture, remote access systems, internet connectivity, telecommunications and support services.
• Knowledge with LAN switching and VLANs.
• Knowledge/Experience supporting LAN/WAN.
• Knowledge/Experience supporting voice communication/telephony (VoIP, Analog and digital).
• Experience with the maintenance, configuration, incident resolution, and engineering connectivity solutions.
• Internet based IPSEC and SSL VPN tunnel experience.
• A thorough understanding of the OSI model, Ethernet, HTTP, and TCP/IP.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the primary technology resource for assessment and mapping of current and future state with gap identification/analysis, design, implementation, ongoing development and maintenance of network infrastructure.
• Coordinates closely with leadership, staff, IT, affiliates, sites, and vendors for planning, analysis, design, implementation, evaluation and support of network infrastructure.
• Acts as a liaison and expert resource for network infrastructure to end-user community, clinicians and/or vendors to identify problems and concerns.
• Researches, analyzes and provides recommendations for corrective action to resolve problems with internal system functionality and data integration.
• Monitors the environment, technology and infrastructure to support optimal patient care and safety.
• Ensures network policies and procedures comply with regulations and standards.
