Job summary

Department of the Air Force Headquarters seeks an information technology system developer to assist in the design, planning, and coordinating of installation, testing, modification, upgrading, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems architecture. This is a GG-09 position in DCIPS; duties are at the Entry/Developmental level and equivalent to GS-09.

The role requires IT-related experience and knowledge of cybersecurity principles to support system

Qualifications

Experience with IT policies, procedures, or operations at a broad level.
Practical knowledge of IT principles, methods, and systems.
Assists in administering virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and enterprise data storage environments.
Follows established configuration management practices, installs and maintains systems, and troubleshoots hardware/software failures.

Responsibilities

Assist in design, planning, and coordinating installation of IT hardware and software systems.
Test, modify, upgrade, and operate systems architecture to ensure reliability.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and recover from common hardware or software issues.
Support cybersecurity principles for system authorization and risk assessment.
